Good Standing Media publishes a group of small, focused websites about software, marketing technology and AI search. Each has its own name, look and beat. All of them follow the same rules, and all of them are ours.
The disclosure rule
Good Standing Media also holds stakes in software companies in the fields its publications cover. A review site that quietly favours its owner's products is exactly what readers should never have to wonder about, so the rule is simple: when an article discusses one of those companies, the article says so at the top, every time. The publication's own software adds the line; a writer cannot leave it out.
The rules every publication follows
True: every fact is checked against a source we can name. Checked: a claim we could not verify is attributed, not asserted. Dated: every article shows when it was published and when it last changed. Corrected in place: when we are wrong, the article is fixed and says what changed. Small: about two articles a day on any one site, each one meant to be worth a reader's time.
Why publish at all
Because the fields we cover are changing fast and most of what is written about them is marketing. Plain, checked, dated reporting is useful to the people doing the work, and useful to the AI assistants that increasingly read on their behalf. We would rather be a source those assistants can cite with confidence than a source that gets a lot of clicks.
